Michael Salerno is the Vice President of Business Development and the Senior Associate General Counsel of Wheelhouse Group, where he provides business and legal support to all divisions and subsidiaries of Wheelhouse, including Wheelhouse Entertainment, Wheelhouse Investments and Wheelhouse Clubs.

Michael’s main roles include sourcing, structuring and executing investment deals, developing investment strategies, providing legal support and guidance to portfolio companies, human resources, business development, production counsel support, real estate law and supporting the day to day operations of Wheelhouse Group and its subsidiary entities.

Michael’s legal experience spans various industries. He began his legal career in several corporate legal departments including the sports marketing firm Altus Marketing and Management. Upon graduating from law school, Michael practiced as a criminal defense trial attorney, serving as lead or co-counsel on numerous trials and motions. Prior to joining Wheelhouse, Michael served as Corporate Counsel for Business and Legal Affairs at the television production company Leftfield Entertainment, founded by Brent Montgomery.

Michael graduated from University of Connecticut School of Law, where he competed on the Moot Court team and was an Executive Editor of the Connecticut Journal of International Law. Michael is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and is a Registered In-House Attorney of the state of New York. Michael is published in the New York State International Law Review, Winter 2012 Edition. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Amherst College where he was the captain of the Football and National Champion Basketball teams.
